  • Members and volunteers play a crucial role in achieving our mission.

2. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Members:

    • Actively participate in GirlTech Clubs and Tech Training programs.
    • Support fellow members and foster an inclusive environment.
    • Promote the mission of GirlTech Africa within their communities.
  • Volunteers:

    • Assist in organizing and facilitating training sessions and awareness talks.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to girls participating in the programs.
    • Collaborate with local schools, tech hubs, and communities to expand our reach.

3. Code of Conduct:

  • Members and volunteers must adhere to GirlTech Africa’s code of conduct, promoting respect, inclusivity, and a safe learning environment.
  • Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

4. Training and Development:

  • GirlTech Africa will provide training and resources to members and volunteers to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
  • Continuous learning and professional development are encouraged.

5. Collaboration:

  • Members and volunteers are expected to collaborate with local schools, tech hubs, and educational institutions to further the GirlTech Africa mission.
  • Encourage teamwork and open communication.

6. Reporting and Feedback:

  • Members and volunteers should report any issues, challenges, or successes to GirlTech Africa coordinators.
  • Feedback is essential for program improvement.

7. Resource Management:

  • Responsible use of resources, including equipment and materials, is mandatory.
  • Members and volunteers should follow resource allocation guidelines.

8. Safety and Well-being:

  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of girls participating in GirlTech Africa programs.
  • Follow safety protocols during training sessions and events.

9. Respect for Diversity:

10. Social Media and Branding: – Members and volunteers should represent GirlTech Africa positively on social media and other platforms. – Follow branding guidelines and seek approval for official communications.

11. Dispute Resolution: – In case of conflicts or disputes, members and volunteers should seek resolution through open dialogue and, if necessary, involve GirlTech Africa coordinators.

12. Termination: – GirlTech Africa reserves the right to terminate membership or volunteer status for violations of SOP or misconduct detrimental to the organization’s mission.
